Table 21
We were fortunate enough to have caught Bryan before the whole Top Chef hoopla and managed to have a Table 21 experience in July.  It was quite an experience.  Bryan and his crew knocked it out of the park.  I have pictures posted on my FB page if anyone is interested.
Aside from Table 21, we've dined there on a few different occasions and each time he delivered.  He's a true talented.
Whew!  Just ate at Table 21 last night.  First of all, Brian was not there...he was doing a "demo" in DC.  I thought I was going to be really disappointed at not being able to meet him, but the staff and food are so incredible and you feel so pampered, that it didn't matter.  After you are seated in the kitchen area, you see that you wouldn't really be gabbing with Brian anyway...everyone is incredibly busy and focused with their creations.  We could not get over the calmness of the kitchen.  Lots of preparing going on, yet no one bumping into each other; no yelling; no running.  Peaceful.  The food was unbelievably creative and delicious, and Johna, who was the young lady who explained most of the dishes, was super sweet and patient.  I asked her to repeat things and explain what certain foods were (like a specific potato or lemon) and she could not have been more informative.  The sommelier was awesome, working with our very own "wine expert."  The major thing that worried me was the 21 courses...would I be passed out on the table after stuffing myself silly?  It's not that way, though.  Very doable, and any dish you can't finish, they pack up for you.  It was a totally awesome, once in a lifetime experience.
I was able to eat at Table 21 in November and it was amazing.  I have posted pictures on my FB page also.  I would have liked to have seen other people's experiences before I went (I was a little nervous about the type of food).  I was also shocked at how calm the kitchen was. It really was an experience of a lifetime.
Hi Lenny...in picture 3 that you posted..."is that 2 slices of proscitto I see?"..it looks like it to me.

Hey, I am driving up to Volt tomorrow for the 7 o clock table 21 seating, SUPER excited, but I know theres going to be a lot of rush hour traffic on 270, anyone know when the best time to leave DC is? at the moment I am planning on leaving Tenleytown at around 5:15. Sound good for the 7 o'clock seating? Can't wait!!

I took my wife, sister-in-law and former best friend, future brother-in-law to 21 on my wife's birthday.  Easily one of the best meals I've ever had.  All the fish and seafood dishes were out of this world, and the service by Johna was spectacular.  Can't wait for the next visit.
