I have had plans to visit Frederick MD since early Fall of 2010. We are flying up there to attend a concert at the Weinberg Center on March 30.

Can you believe that I just discovered Volt was there? I just tripped upon it while browsing the Top Chef site a week or so ago. I am gobsmacked that this opportunity has fallen into my lap--the idea of seeing my all time favorite artist perform AND eat at Bryan's Volt?

Y'all are going to think I am crazy, but I am coming in all the way from southeast Alabama for this concert. Johnny Clegg is from South Africa, I have been a slobbering fan since 1987, and this is probably his farewell concert. Maryland is as close as he is coming to me, and since I have a best friend in Baltimore who is a huge fan.....well it is a good excuse! And I have not seen that friend since Johnny's last trip here in 2004. The people at the Weinburg Center can't believe I am coming so far just to see him, but again--that is how important Johnny is to me. 

Adding Bryan to the mixture?? HEAVEN! There is no way that I am going to miss a chance to eat at Volt, but as I am sure is a very frequently asked question, will Bryan be there that week? We will actually stay longer in the city for a chance to see him and I will break someone's leg to eat in the kitchen. 

Have I mentioned it will be my birthday?? Yes, pulling out all of the stops!! And my husband loves me bunches.
